Roti Ladoo

Roti ladoo are small bites of nostalgia that will surely bring back the flavours of your childhood. Additive free Sarda Farms ghee, made using traditional methods, lends its earthy aroma to this classic snack. For a variation you can add chopped dry fruits or nuts of your choice or flavour it with nutmeg or cinnamon.

 

Ingredients

  • 3-4 ‏leftover rotis/chapatti/flatbread
  • 2-3 ‏Sarda Farms ghee
  • 2 ‏tablespoon roasted groundnut powder
  • 1 ‏tablespoon roasted sesame powder
  • 2-3 ‏tablespoons powdered jaggery (or use brown sugar/white sugar)

 

Method

Cut roti into very small pieces. You can pulse it 2-3 times in a food processor.

Heat ghee in a pan on low flame.

Add crushed roti and saute for a minute. Stir 1-2 times to roast it evenly.

Add groundnut powder,sesame powder, jaggery and mix well.

Roast for a minute and take it off the heat.

Cool slightly.

Divide it in 5-6 parts.

While it is still warm, press each portion with your hand to form a ball/ladoo.

Serve immediately.
