Puffed Amaranth (rajgira) with dahi

Puffed Amaranth with dahi makes for a quick & healthy no-cook breakfast or snack. Additive free Sarda Farms dahi makes this humble preparation nutritious and refreshing. This is a simple basic recipe, you can also add chopped cucumber, apple or beetroot to it.



  • ¾ ‏cup puffed amaranth (rajgira)
  • 1/3 ‏cup Sarda Farms dahi
  • 1 ‏teaspoon cumin powder
  • ½ ‏teaspoon crushed black pepper
  • ‏Salt to taste
  • 1-2 ‏sprigs mint leaves or coriander leaves (optional)


Whisk dahi with ¼ cup (or as required) water in a blender. You can use it as it is or chill for 30 minutes and then use.

Place puffed amaranth in a serving bowl or cup.

Add whisked dahi, salt and mix.

Top with cumin powder & black pepper.

Serve garnished with mint leaves.
