Papd Sabji is a handy curry/side dish to make, especially when you run out of vegetables. The list of ingredients looks long but the preparation is very simple. Additive free Sarda farms dahi is used to make a thick tangy gravy that goes well with roti or paratha.
- 1 litre Sarda Farms milk
- 4-5 tablespoons powdered sugar
- Pinch of saffron
- 2-3 small oranges peeled and segments (or as required)
Heat milk in a heavy bottom pan on low flame.
Add sugar, saffron and keep cooking till it reduces to half its original size. Stir so that it does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
Cool the thickened milk completely and chill for 1-2 hours.
Remove the pith and skin from the orange segments and break them into bite sized pieces.
Add the orange pieces to the milk and stir.
You can also add some dry fruits and chopped nuts if you like.
