Ombre milkshake is a fun and exciting way to make drinking milk fun for the kids. The natural goodness of Sarda Farms milk combined with seasonal fruits makes it a nutritious treat any time of the day. The layered colored gradient of this thick shake is almost too pretty to drink. This is a very basic recipe and you can adjust the amount of ingredients to your taste. Use any fruit combination of your choice or you can also add some Sarda Farms dahi to make an Ombre smoothie.
- ½ -¾ cup Sarda Farms milk (as required)
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
- 2-3 bananas, peeled and sliced
- 2-3 tablespoons powdered cashew nuts (or almonds)
- 2-3 tablespoons honey (or use sugar)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- 2 whole strawberries for garnish
In the jar of a blender add about 2/3rd of the sliced bananas, ¼ cup milk, 2 tablespoons cashew nut powder, few drops of vanilla extract and 2 teaspoons honey. Blend to a smooth thick paste. This forms the top white layer.
Take it out of the jar and keep aside.
Rinse and dry the blender jar.
Add strawberries, 1-2 teaspoons honey,2-3 tablespoons milk and few drops of vanilla extract to the jar and blend to crush the fruits and till everything mixes together.
Pour about 2-3 tablespoons of this strawberry crush in 2 glasses to form the lower dark layer.
To the leftover crush in the jar, add leftover banana slices, remaining cashew nut powder, 5-6 tablespoons of milk, honey and few drops of vanilla. Blend till everything mixes well.
Divide and gradually pour this over the dark starwberry layer in the glass to form the middle layer.
Add the white, banana shake layer over this.
Serve as it is or chilled, garnished with strawberries
