Mirchi Chatka (Smoked green chillies in with dahi)

Mirchi Chatka is a quick, fiery side dish to go with your Roti or rice. As the name suggests green chillies are fire roasted, mashed and added to spiced Sarda Farms dahi.

This quick raita also doubles up as a dip to serve with snacks. The amount of chillies can change depending on its heat and your taste.



  • 5-6 ‏fresh green chillies, washed and towel dried
  • ½ cup ‏Sarda Farms dahi (whey drained)
  • ½ teaspoon ‏sugar (optional)
  • ¾ teaspoon ‏cumin powder
  • ‏Salt to taste
  • 5-6 ‏fresh coriander leaves, chopped


Fire roast the chillies till they turn black. You can use a skewer to hold the chillies together for roasting.

Cool and rub to remove some of the black skin.

Mash in a mortar and pestle.

Whisk dahi with salt,sugar,cumin powder and coriander leaves.

Add the mashed chillies and mix.

Serve as it is or chilled.
