Instant Ragi/Nagli Dosa

If you are looking for a quick, scrumptious breakfast that can be put together in under 30 minutes, this Instant Ragi/Nagli dosa is for you. It is also a tasty way of including healthy millets in your diet. Fresh flavourful dahi from Sarda Farms apart from adding a tang to the dosa, helps to give the desired lacey texture to the dosa. Antibiotic & hormone free Sarda Farms cow milk ghee lends a rich, nutty aroma to the hearty Ragi dosa.




  • 1 cup ‏Ragi/ Nagli flour
  • ½ cup ‏Rice flour
  • ¼ cup ‏Urad dal flour (optional)
  • ½- ¾ cup ‏Sarda Farms dahi
  • 3-4 ‏Green chillies, finely chopped or crushed
  • 10-12 ‏Curry leaves chopped
  • ‏Few sprigs of coriander leaves, chopped
  • ‏Salt to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon ‏Hing (asafoetida)
  • ‏Sarda Farms ghee as required for cooking the dosa


In a bowl/jar whisk the dahi with about ¾ cup water.

In a mixing bowl add the flours, salt, hing, green chillies, coriander leaves, curry leaves. Stir to mix.

Gradually add the dahi-water mixture, whisking continuously to remove any lumps. Add sufficient liquid to make a batter that can be easily spread. (Add more water if required)

Keep this mixture aside for 5-10 minutes if you are not pressed for time, else you can also use it immediately.

Heat a non-stick griddle on medium flame.

Spread a ladle full of the batter to make a thin, round dosa.

Drizzle some ghee on the edges and cook on medium heat till the underside becomes brown and crisp.

Repeat this process for the remaining batter.

Serve hot with your favourite chutney.
