Groundnut Kadhi
Crushed groundnuts are tempered with flavourful Sarda Farms ghee and a couple of spices to make this quick, protein rich Groundnut Kadhi. Additive free Sarda Farms dahi is used as a souring agent which also aids digestion. Groundnut kadhi is a great accompaniment for rice, barnyard millet or Sago (Sabudana) Khichdi.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Groundnut powder
- ½ cup Sarda Farms dahi
- 2-3 green chillies, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Sarda Farms Ghee
- ½ teaspoons cumin seeds
- ¼ teaspoon hing (asafoetida)
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- ¾ cup water
- Salt to taste
- Chopped coriander leaves for garnish
Method
In a pan, heat the peanut powder along with ½ cup water, salt and sugar.
Boil for 1-2 minutes.
Whisk dahi with the remaining water and add it to the peanut mixture.
Take it off the heat immediately. (Do not boil once you add dahi)
In a small pan heat the ghee.
Add the cumin seeds and once they sizzle add hing and green chillies.
Saute for a few seconds and pour this tempering over the groundnut mixture.
Garnish with chopped coriander. Serve warm or cold.
