Breakfast Trifle

If you eat food with your eyes first or if you find oats unappetizing, this Breakfast Trifle is for you. Few ingredients & quick cooking makes this recipe a winner. Seasonal fruits not only amp up the health quotient of the trifle, but also provide a colourful feast for the eyes. Use any variant of additive free, fresh Sarda Farms milk, to kick start your day on a healthy note.


  • ½ cups ‏Instant Oats
  • 1 ¾ -2 cups ‏Sarda Farms Milk
  • ½ teaspoon ‏Vanilla extract (optional or any other flavour of choice)
  • 1 ½ -2 tablespoons ‏honey
  • 1 cup ‏chopped Fresh seasonal fruits (mango, peaches, cherries, apple,cherry, starfruit etc.)
  • 1-2 tablespoons ‏dry fruits or sliced nuts of choice (almonds,cashew nuts, pistachios, raisins, blueberries etc)


Place the oats and milk in a saucepan and cook for about 3-4 minutes till the mixture thickens. (or cook as per package instructions)

Add the vanilla extract and mix.

Take it off the heat and cool completely. Cover with a lid to avoid skin formation on the top. You can also refrigerate the oats for about 30 minutes to chill.

Add honey and mix.

Adjust the consistency by adding 2-3 tablespoons milk if the mixture thickens too much.

Drop about 2 tablespoons of the cooked oats in two serving bowls/ glasses.

Spread part of the chopped fruits over it.

Sprinkle some nuts and dry fruits.

Spoon over more of the Oats mixture and finally top with fruits, dry fruits and nuts.

Serve immediately.
