Tandoori corn on the cob (bhutta)

Corn on the cob (bhutta) is a popular Indian street food snack especially in the monsoon. Roasted corn on the cob is flavoured with a spicy tandoori mix to make this lip smacking Tandoori corn on the cob.   • 2 ‏fresh corn on the cob (bhutta)
  • 2 tablespoons ‏Sarda Farms dahi
  • 1 tablespoon ‏Sarda Farm ghee, melted and cooled
  • 2-3 tablespoons ‏chaat masala (or tandoori masala)
  • 1-2 teaspoons ‏red chilli powder
  • ‏Salt to taste


Roast the corn on an open flame (medium-high) all over till it is lightly charred
Mix dahi, ghee, chaat masala, red chilli powder and salt.
Brush the mixture all over the corn
Roast the corn all over for about one minute more.
Serve immediately

Quick Broccoli salad

Quick broccoli salad packs a healthy side dish that can be made in under 10 minutes. Sarda Farms ghee and dahi enhance the taste and nutritive value of the salad



  • 1 ‏cup broccoli florets and stems, blanched
  • 2-3 ‏teaspoon Sarda Farms ghee
  • 2-3 ‏tablespoons Sarda Farms dahi,whisked
  • 1-2 ‏garlic pods, minced
  • 1-2 ‏red/green chillies, chopped
  • 1 ‏tablespoon crushed/powdered roasted groundnuts
  • ‏Salt to taste


Heat ghee in a non-stick pan on low flame

Toss in the garlic, chilly and broccoli.

Sprinkle salt as required.

Stir and cook on medium-high flame till the broccoli just begins to char.

Place it on a serving plate and cool slightly.

Drizzle the dahi all over (you can add some salt to the dahi if you like)

Sprinkle groundnut powder all over and serve


Eggless chocolate mousse

Eggless chocolate mousse

A quick and simple recipe to make this delicious treat-Eggless chocolate mousse. Additive free Sarda Farms milk is used to make this indulgent treat.


  • 1 1/4 ‏cup Sarda Farms milk
  • 1 ‏cup fresh cream
  • 2 ‏tablespoons corn flour
  • 4-5 ‏tablespoons cocoa powder (amount depends on the quality of cocoa powder)
  • 2-3 ‏tablespoon sugar
  • ¼ ‏cup chopped dark chocolate
  • 1 ‏teaspoon almond extract (or vanilla)
  • 1 ‏tablespoon butter (optional)


Mix all the ingredients in a sauce pan except the butter and extract.

Stir to mix.

Heat the pan on low heat and stir continuously.

Cook till the mixture thicken to a pudding consistency.

Take pan off heat.

Add butter, extract and gently mix to incorporate.

Let the pudding cool slightly.

Divide it in 4 serving bowls

Refrigerate for 2-3 hours.

Serve as it is or topped with fresh fruits or whipped cream


Green peas and dahi salad

Green peas and dahi salad is a no-cook, healthy snack/side dish. Wholesome Sarda Farms dahi increases the nutritional quotient of this protein packed dish.



  • 1 ‏cup fresh green peas, blanched, drained and cooled
  • ¼ ‏cup Sarda Farms dahi, whisked
  • 2-3 ‏fresh garlic bulbs and greens, chopped
  • 2 ‏green chillies, finely chopped
  • ‏Few coriander and mint leaves, chopped
  • ‏Salt to taste


Mix green peas, garlic, greens, chillies, coriander leaves, mint leaves and salt in a bowl.

Add dahi and mix

Serve immediately or chill for 30 minutes and then serve.

Tangy & spicy, this indulgent Buttermilk batter bhajji is the perfect deep fried drip you need to unwind after a long day with a cup of tea. Sarda Farms dahi helps to make the bhajji light and fluffy.



  • ¼ ‏cup besan/chana dal flour (chickpea flour)
  • 2 ‏tablespoons rice flour
  • 1/3 ‏cup Sarda Farms dahi, preferably sour
  • 1 ‏small onion,chopped
  • ‏Handful or coriander leaves, chopped
  • 2-3 ‏green chillie, finely chopped
  • ½ ‏teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ¼ ‏teaspoon hing (asafoetida)
  • ½ ‏teaspoon ajwain (carom seeds)
  • ‏Salt to taste
  • ‏Oil as required for deep frying


In a bowl whisk dahi with some water.

Add all other ingredients to the bowl except oil.

Mix well to make a thick batter of dropping consistency. Adjust the amount of flour or water as required

Heat oil in a small pan/wok.

Drop small spoonfuls of batter in oil and deep fry till golden brown.

Use a slotted spoon to remove bhajji onto a paper towel.

Serve hot

Mahalabia/Muhallabia/Mahlebieh (Middle Eastern milk pudding)

As exotic as the name sounds Mahalabia/Muhallabia/Mahlebieh is a flavourful Middle Eastern milk pudding. Additive Sarda Farms milk is thickened with ground rice, corn flour ,almonds and flavoured with rose water to make this aromatic dessert. It is then chilled and served garnished with pomegranate seeds and pistachios (or nuts of choice)



  • 1/3 ‏cup rice flour
  • 1 ‏tablespoon corn flour
  • 1/3 ‏cup ground almonds
  • 500 ml ‏Sarda Farms milk
  • 4-5 ‏tablespoons sugar
  • 1 ‏tablespoon rose water
  • ‏Pinch of grated nutmeg
  • 2-3 ‏tablespoons Pomegranate seeds (as required for garnish)
  • 1-2 ‏tablespoon sliced pistachios for garnish


Mix rice flour and corn flour in a bowl.

Add about ½ cup milk to it and whisk to avoid lump formation.

Heat the remaining milk in a heavy bottom pan.

Add sugar, stir and bring it to a gentle boil on low heat.

Gradually add the rice flour mixture, whisking continuously.

The mixture starts to thicken as it cooks. Cook for about 2 minutes.

Add rose water nutmeg and almonds and mix well.

Take it off the heat and cool slightly.

Pour the mixture in serving bowls and cool completely and then chill in the refrigerator for 1-2hours. Cover with cling film so that skin does not form on the top.

Serve garnished with pomegranate seeds and pistachios.

  • ¾ ‏cup Homemade Granola made using Sarda Farms Ghee
  • ½ ‏cup Sarda Farms dahi (whey drained)
  • 1 ‏cup cut ripe papaya
  • 3-4 ‏tablespoons honey (or as required)
  • 1 ‏teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2-3 ‏teaspoons pomegranate seeds (optional)


Whisk dahi with vanilla extract in a small bowl

Place few papaya pieces in 2 or 3 glasses/serving bowls

Add a tablespoon of granola over it.

Spoon over about 1-1 ½ tablespoon dahi over it.

Drizzle some honey.

Add few more pieces of papaya and repeat the layers to fill the glass/bowl.

Serve immediately garnished with pomegranate seeds and a sprig of mint (optional)


For a fun breakfast idea, you can also cut small papaya into half, remove seeds and use it as a bowl for individual serving. Add some granola in the cavity and top with the vanilla-dahi. Drizzle honey and serve immediately topped with pomegranate seeds.

Healthy and easy this Multigrain dalia masale bhaat is a perfect meal for a bury weekday. Masale bhaat (spicy rice) is a typical Maharashtrian preparation where rice is cooked with vegetables and spices. This recipe replaces the rice with nutritious multigrain dalia (groats) to make this flavourful one pot meal. Multigrain dalia is available at most grocery stores across India. Also you may use a combination of any vegetables of your choice


  • 1 ‏cup multigrain dalia
  • 2 ‏tablespoons Sarda Farms ghee
  • 1 ‏carrot, peeled and chopped
  • 1 ‏potato, peeled and chopped
  • 2 ‏small brinjals (baingan), stems removed and sliced
  • 1-2 ‏tejpatta (Indian bay leaves)
  • 2-3 ‏cloves
  • 2-3 ‏peppercorns
  • ½ ‏teaspoon jeera (cumin seeds)
  • 1 ‏teaspoon mustard seeds (rai)
  • ¾ -1 ‏teaspoon goda masala
  • ½ ‏teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ¼ ‏teaspoon hing(asafoetida)
  • ‏Few chopped coriander leaves,for garnish
  • 2-3 ‏teaspoons fresh or dried coconut for garnish, grated (optional)
  • ‏Salt to taste


Heat 1 tablespoon ghee in a pan on medium flame

Add dalia and roast till you get typical flavour

Take out the rosted dalia onto a plate.

Heat the remaining ghee in the pan.

Add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter

Add cumin seeds, cloves, tejpatta and peppercorns.

Stir and saute for a few seconds

Add hing, turmeric and vegetables

Stir and saute the vegetables for a few seconds

Add dalia and mix well.

Add about 2- 2 ½ cups water (quantity of water will depend on the quality of dalia)

Add salt and stir.

Cook covered till the dalia softens and the vegetables are cooked.

Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves and coconut

Black eyed peas (chawli) salad with ghee dressing

Additive free, fresh Sarda Farms ghee can be used to make healthy & flavourful salad dressing. It is combined with kokum extract & jaggery to dress this black eyed peas (chawli) salad. You can use tamarind pulp or lemon juice instead of kokum extract



  • 1 ‏cup black eyed peas (chawli) soaked in water for 5-6 hours and then boiled
  • 1 ½ ‏tablespoon Sarda Farms ghee, melted
  • 1-2 ‏tablespoons kokum extract
  • 1 ‏tablespoon jaggery
  • 1 ‏tablespoon crushed roasted groundnuts
  • ¾ ‏teaspoon cumin seeds
  • ½ ‏teaspoon chilli powder
  • ‏Salt to taste
  • ‏10-12 mint leaves


Drain water from the peas and add them to a mixing bowl.

Add cumin powder, chilli powder, crushed groundnuts, mint leaves and mix.

Mix 2 tablespoon water in the jaggery and stir to dissolve

Add ghee, kokum, jaggery water, salt to a glass jar.

Close the lid and shake vigorously to mix everything.

Add as required to the beans.

Serve garnished with more mint leaves.


Dahi mint and coriander dip

Dahi mint and coriander dip

Quick, refreshing and versatile this dahi mint and coriander dip is perfect for parties and get-togethers. Additive free Sarda Farms dahi makes this dip tangy and nutritious. Serve it with chips, crackers, roasted papad or with crudites


  • 1 ‏small bunch coriander leaves, chopped
  • 12-15 ‏mint leaves
  • 5-6 ‏green chillies chopped (or as required)
  • 1-2 ‏garlic cloves, chopped
  • 3-4 ‏ttablespoons Sarda Farms dahi, whey drained completely
  • ½ ‏teaspoon cumin powder
  • ‏Salt to taste


Add coriander, mint and green chillies to the jar of a mixer. Blend to make a smooth paste. Add 1 tablespoon dahi to make grinding easier.

Whisk remaining dahi in a bowl and add the green chutney, cumin powder and salt.

Serve with crackers, papad or chips
